Brinkley Water Dept. warns of possible discoloration due to extreme cold temps
February 15, 2021

According to the Brinkley Water Department manager Rob Parkman, there may be discoloration in the city water due to the temperature freezing the coagulant that usually holds onto those particles. The Department is flushing hourly rather than daily to try to prevent as much as possible. This is harmless, but could prove problematic when washing white clothes. If anyone does experience discolored clothing due to this, you may come by the Water Department and they will give you something to remove the discoloration at no charge.
