Bobby Wayne Alexander, “Blue”, of Camden, Arkansas, passed away on Tuesday, November 15, 2022 at Baptist Health Center in Little Rock. He was 75 years old.

The son of B.W. Alexander and Martha (Jordan) Alexander Griggs was born on December 22, 1946 in Parkin, Arkansas.

Bobby was affectionately known as “Blue” by his family and friends. Bobby was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Viet Nam War and had retired from the Union Pacific Railroad Company. He was an avid Arkansas Razorbacks fan and enjoyed cheering them on. Bobby was a devoted father, grandfather, son, brother, and uncle who will be missed by his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Bobby Alexander, Jr.; two brothers, James and Rickey Alexander; four sisters, Barbara Norris, Rosella Brown, Peggy Norris, and Phyllis Vining; and one nephew, Brad Strode.

Survivors include one daughter, Heather Rivers; one sister and her husband, Patsy and Dewey Strode; five grandchildren, Jordan and Joshua Elliott, Jayla Morris, Rebecca Christie and husband, Johnathan; and Britney Howland; five great grandchildren, Julian, Paisley, Ta’Huni, Ainslee, and Jonah; a special caretaker, Judy Avitts and her daughters, Angie Schanzlin and Tanya Clemons; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Graveside service will be Saturday, November 19, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Grissard Cemetery in El Paso, AR. Speaking will be Bobby’s nephew, James Alexander, Jr. Pallbearers are Todd Norris, Scott Norris, Steven Vining, Robbie Vining, Michael Johnston, and Lance Strode. Honorary pallbearers include James Alexander Jr., Allen Brown, Jr., Jordan Elliott, and Joshua Elliott.

Services are under the direction of Coffman Funeral Home of Harrison.
