February 21, 2023

Tony Allen Wynne Sr. was born on May 18, 1963 in Brinkley, Arkansas to the union of Leo Wynne Sr. and Gloria Dean Pearson-Wynne.

Tony was reared in a Christian home and proclaimed Christ as his Savior at an early age. He began his Christian journey at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Brinkley, Arkansas. He later became a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church under the pastorship of Elder Eddie Harvey.

Tony received his formal education in the Brinkley Public School System, and was a 1981 graduate of Brinkley High School. After completing his education, Tony made the brave decision to fight for his country and enlisted in the United States Army, where he was stationed in Germany on the Czechoslovakian border. After receiving an honorable discharge in 1983, Tony decided to broaden his educational horizons by enrolling into Crowley’s Ridge Technical Institute in Forrest City, Arkansas. He was a 1984 graduate of the Certified Nurse’s Assistant Program. He then furthered his medical training by enrolling in the Licensed Vocational Nursing course, where he became a licensed LVN.

In 1983 Tony met the beautiful Miss Lisa Harris. The couple instantly developed an unbreakable bond and became a united in Holy Matrimony in 1988. The pair was blessed with three beautiful angels, Tony Jr., Tonisha, and Jasmine. Tony and Lisa would remain bound by love until his passing.

Tony possessed a strong work ethic his entire life. He worked as a laborer for Word’s Masonry, Riceland Foods as a setup man to supervisor for 20 years, Boar’s Head Foods as a supervisor of maintenance. After relocating to the greater Dallas, Texas area, Tony would venture off into home improvement employment at Lowe’s, which lead to him performing various home repair jobs, both minor and major. Tony was lastly employed by Amazon as a maintenance tech 3 employee until his passing.

Tony was considered a “jack of all trades” and could do anything he set his mind to. Tony loved being the “handy man” to his family and friends. There was never a task too big or small for him to handle. He possessed a passion for fishing and sailing his boat, he loved cooking, traveling (especially the Mississippi Coast), providing financial wisdom and advice to all who knew him, and his most precious past-time was spending time with his beloved family.

God saw fit to call Tony Allen Wynne Sr. home from his earthly labor on February 10, 2023. He sent his Chariot to Tulsa, Oklahoma to retrieve the soul of His son. Awaiting his arrival to Heaven was his mother Gloria Dean Pearson-Wynne, his maternal grandparents Booker & Teretha Pearson, and his paternal grandparents Luther & Mary Wynne.
