Julie Tripp Rodgers

Julie Tripp Rodgers, 64, of Brinkley, passed away June 15, 2023. She was born in Mercy Hospital in Brinkley September 30, 1958 to Hubert and Wanda Tripp of Brinkley.
Julie was raised as one of three children in the Keevil Community. After graduating from Clarendon High School in 1976, she briefly attended the University of Arkansas at Conway. She was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church at Rich.
Julie or “Kitty”, as most lovingly called her, worked at various businesses in Brinkley, such as Dollar General, through the years, but it was at Farris Fashions that she fell in love with her husband, the love of her life, David Rodgers.
David helped Julie raise her two sons, Shane and Dustin. Dustin had Cystic Fibrosis (CF) from a young age, but Julie tirelessly did all a mother could do to ensure he lived as normal of a life as possible, being an equally great mom to Shane and a loving wife to David, all while staying employed.
Later in 2008, she became the proudest “Memaw” of her granddaughter, Ashlyn. Julie enjoyed watching the hummingbirds fly around, drinking from her feeders and working in her flower beds, especially with her only grandchild, Ashlyn. They loved to decorate for the holidays together and bake delicious treats.
Julie was also a great cook and will be remembered fondly for her chicken and dressing, chocolate chip cookies and cheeseball. She was an avid fan of the Arkansas Razorbacks, Chicago Cubs and collector of anything M&M candy. She was loved by all that knew her and valued her family as her greatest treasure. She will be missed and never forgotten.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Hubert and Wanda Tripp; sister, Debbie Tripp Foster; and sons, Shane and Dustin Pearson. Survivors are her husband, David Rodgers of Rich; brother, Mike Tripp of Brinkley; granddaughter, Ashlyn Pearson of Clarendon; brother-in-law, Lawrence Foster of Brinkley; and a host of loving relatives and friends.
Visitation was Monday, June 19 from 10 a.m. -12 p.m. at Bob Neal & Sons Funeral Home in Brinkley. Graveside Services were at 2 p.m. Monday, June 19 in White Church Cemetery at Rich with Bro. John Cook officiating. Bob Neal & Sons Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
