Jana Maria Walker

Jana Maria Walker was born in West Memphis, Arkansas, 07 October 1953 to parents L. C. and Beulah Mae Walker of Earle, Arkansas. She left this life to be with the Lord 16 June 2023 in Searcy, Arkansas.
A large segment of her life was spent in Brinkley, Arkansas, where she made dozens of friends and was very active in the Brinkley Church of Christ. After both parents died she moved to Southaven, Mississippi, to be near her siblings and after a few years she took an apartment in Collierville, Tennessee, making many friends along the way.
The last day of May 2012 she became a resident of Harding Place Retirement Center in Searcy, Arkansas where she lived for ten years. The management there reported that Jana knew all 140 residents and 30 staff by name and they were all Jana’s friends. She was also known as a great prayer warrior for any and all of them. She kept journals of those she prayed for regularly. Also in Searcy she was active in the College Church of Christ and attended many events at Harding University.
She is preceded in death by her father Lewis C. Walker in 1987, her mother Beulah Bell Walker in 1990, and her sister LaNelle “Susie” Owens in 2007.
Surviving are the following, Sisters: Eva Walker Myer, Searcy, AR and Margaret Organ, Benton, AR. Brothers: Dr. Lewis Walker (Patricia) Ponte Vedra Beach, FL and Doug Walker (Judy) Magnolia, TX. The family wants to thank all who were so kind and loving to Jana throughout her life.
A graveside service honoring Jana was held Saturday, June 24, at Crittenden Memorial Park in Marion, Arkansas where she was placed alongside her parents.
