Gerald Butler

Retired Chief Engineer Gerald Butler, 78, of Brinkley, who served with the Brinkley Fire Department for 42 years died Sunday, June 25. Services were held Friday, June 30 at the Brinkley Convention Center. Burial was in Posey Cemetery at Wheatley.

Gerald also worked at Kroger in Brinkley for 42 years as the meat cutter.

He was married to Sue Davenport Butler and had two daughters, Karen Butler (Brince) of Lonoke and Audra Ferrell of Sherwood, and three stepsons, Shannon Sandage (deceased), Dale Davenport (Angi) of Hensley and David Sandage (Paula) of Holub Crossing, and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
