Charles L. Temple October 15, 1928 - January 26, 2020

Charles Temple, of North Little Rock, formerly of Brinkley, died at the age of 91. He was born on in Brinkley and a was lifelong member of the First Presbyterian Church of Brinkley, where he served as an ordained elder. He enjoyed golf, watching football, attending his grandchildren’s ballgames, and visiting with his many friends.
He was a 1948 graduate of Brinkley High School and attended the University of Arkansas on a football scholarship, where he also played on the basketball and baseball teams. He was a three-sport Letterman while at the University.
Charles served twenty years in the Arkansas Army National Guard and was a member of the American Legion. He served a number of years on the Brinkley school board and during the 1980s was chosen as Man of the Year by both the Chamber of Commerce and the Brinkley Business and Professional Women’s Club.
He was preceded in death by his wife of fifty years, Sylvia Osborne Temple and son Daniel R. Temple. Survivors include two daughters Tangela Temple Caperton, and husband Stan, of Beebe, and Tiffany Temple Pierce, and husband Dwayne, of Little Rock; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Saturday, February 1 at 10:00 am, at the First Presbyterian Church in Brinkley, with funeral services following at 11:00 am. Burial will be at Oaklawn Cemetery. Arrangements by Bob Neal & Sons Funeral Home in Brinkley.
