Austin Nail June 23, 1930 - February 10, 2020

Austin Nail, of Biscoe, passed away at home surrounded by family at the age of 89. He was born in McCrory to the late N.A. Nail and Ora Smith.
Austin was a member of the Biscoe First Baptist Church since 1939. He would regularly teach Sunday School and served the church as a deacon. He also served in Disaster Relief through the Southern Baptist Convention. He loved ministering in Nursing Homes and was a Godly example to all his family. He was beyond proud of his grand and great-grandchildren. Austin loved to hunt deer and duck as well as fishing.
To Austin, farming wasn't just a job; it was a way of life. He was known as a man of prayer by his family and friends. He loved taking his family camping as they traveled.
Austin is preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Raney Nail. Those remaining to cherish his memory are his wife of 64 years, Bonnie Nail; two sons, Jody (Rita) Nail, and Phillip (Tammy) Nail; one daughter Janet (Lloyd) Inman; one brother, Dean Nail; two sisters, Mary Lou Baker, and Maudie Robinson; one sister-in-law, Billie Nail; five grandchildren Eric (Krystal) Nail, Jeremy (Amber) Nail, Mitchell (Samantha) Nail, SaraBeth (Blake) Wilcox, Luke Inman; seven great-grandchildren, Judson Nail, Stella Nail, Evie Nail, Lilah Wilcox, Baron Nail, Callum Nail, and Sadie Nail. Funeral service was at Biscoe First Baptist Church February 13, with visitation one-hour prior. Burial followed at Biscoe Cemetery.
