Herbert 'Herb' Henry Brechtel

July 14, 1929 - November 1, 2019

Herbert Brechtel, of Ulm, passed away in Stuttgart, at the age of 90. He was born in Ulm to the late Henry Frank Brechtel and Bertha Timmerman Brechtel. Herb was a lifelong resident of the Ulm area and was a longtime member of the Ulm Hunting Club; if an animal was in hunting season, Herb would shoot at it. After his honorable discharge from the United States Army, Herb went back home and became a cattle and rice farmer.

Herb was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Howard Brechtel, and Wilburn "Fat" Brechtel; and two sisters, Lucille Davis, and Lillian Madden. Survivors include one sister, Lorene (late Ervin) Schroeder; along with other friends and family including several nieces, nephews, cousins. Graveside service will be at Ulm Cemetery on Thursday, November 7. Fowler Funeral Home provided the arrangements.
