Howard Lee “Pee-Wee” Marshall

Howard Marshall, of Brinkley, formerly of Detroit, Michigan, died Friday morning at his family’s home in Brinkley, at the age of 57. He was born in Brinkley to Howard Lampley and Juanita Marshall. Howard was raised in Denver, Colorado and Detroit, Michigan. He received his early education form the Denver public school system. He continued his education from the Detroit public school system. He was a 1979 graduate of Detroit’s Central High School. He attended and received technical training form Rets Electronics School in Detroit.
“Pee-Wee” as Howard was affectionately known by all, was employed by General Motors Corporation in Detroit for more than 13 years as a Data Analyst. In his earlier years, he worked as a waiter for the Birmingham Country Club also in Detroit. He returned to Arkansas to live in 2001.
His father, his maternal grandparents and paternal grandparents and a brother Teddy Troy all preceded Howard in death. Survivors are: his daughter Ashley Marshall of Detroit, MI; his mother Juanita Lampley of Brinkley; two brothers: Ralph (Betina) Marshall Sr. and Freddie (Renell) Troy both of Detroit, MI; his co-parent and longtime friend Robbie Wright-Marshall of Detroit, MI; three uncles: Floyd Marshall and Roger Privett Jr. both of Brinkley; and Wendell Marshall of Jackson, MS; two aunts: Dorothy Holmes of Brinkley; and Bobbie Bryant of Detroit, MI and a host of nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, November 2 at the Branscumb Funeral Home Chapel in Brinkley, with Bro. Ocie Chunn officiating. Internment took place at Haven of Rest Cemetery in Brinkley by Branscumb Johnson & Gilchrest Funeral Home of Brinkley. Pallbearers were: Roger Privett Jr., Roger Privett III, Wendell Marshall, David Vaughn, Willie D. Hayward and Ken Lowe Sr.
