Ronnie B. Pye February 4, 1959 - March 15, 2020

Ronnie Pye, of Brinkley, died at Arkansas Hospice Center in Little Rock, at the age of 61. He was born in Brinkley to James Pye and Gertie Mae “Lucy” Straughter-Pye and received his education from the Brinkley Public School District. He also attended Job Corps in Oklahoma. Ronnie attended church services at First Freewill Baptist Church and Greater Hour of Deliverance Ministries both in Brinkley.
Ronnie enlisted in the United States Army and was later Honorably Discharged. He was a longtime employee of the Brinkley Cotton Compress and Cook Roofing (Hot Tar Roofing) of Brinkley.
His parents, a son, Eddie D. Hill, a grandson, Sunshawn Hill, a brother, Earnie Lee “Wee Man” Pye, and a sister, Gloria Dean Pye, all preceded Ronnie in death. Survivors are: his son, Marcus James of Brinkley; three brothers: Roger Williams of Brinkley; Leon (Delsie) Pye of Chickasha, OK; and Jerry Duncan of Palo Alto, CA; four sisters: Louise Stewart of Forrest City; Marie Thomas of Brinkley; Rosemary Manning of Palo Alto, CA; and Niecy Lumpkin of Jonesboro; six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held on March 21 at Good Hope Freewill Baptist Church in Wheatley, with Reverend Wilford W. Banks officiating. Interment took place at Haven of Rest Cemetery in Brinkley by Branscumb Funeral Home of Brinkley.
