Michael Jay Marshall

December 02, 2025

Michael Jay Marshall, 43, of Brinkley, Arkansas, departed this life on November 22, 2025, in Jonesboro, Arkansas. Born on June 5, 1982, in Stuttgart, he was the son of Glenda Woodard Marshall and the late J.W. Marshall.
Michael was a man of resilience, and determination, qualities that he exhibited throughout his life. Raised in Brinkley alongside his loving sisters, Jackie and Samantha, he attended the Brinkley Public Schools. He was a hardworking individual, choosing to work alongside his father in farming during his high school years. His understanding and the importance of education was evident when he pursued and successfully earned his GED.
Michael's life was enriched by the birth of his three beautiful children, Aubrey, Jacob, and Juliet and he took great pride and joy in their accomplishments and growth. His work life was as varied as it was meaningful. After working at the Jacksonville Airforce base with the Army Airforce Exchange in Shipping, he returned to Brinkley and found his stride in the furniture industry, working at Dixie Furniture and later at Source Corp. as a Data Entry operator.
Michael had a love for multitudes of hobbies. He often spent his downtime playing Xbox with his family and friends. His love for country music was well known, and he even enjoyed singing karaoke from time to time. Being raised in the south, he naturally developed a passion for outdoor sports, especially fishing and deer hunting.
He was preceded in death by his father J.W. Marshall, paternal grandparents, J.L. Marshall and Viola Graham, and his maternal grandparents, Nobel and Ellen Woodard, along with  his nephew, Kristopher Thompson.
Michael is survived by his loving mother Glenda Woodard Marshall of Brinkley, his children, Aubrey, Jacob, and Juliet Marshall and their mother, Syerra Patty, all of Bebee, his two sisters, Jackie Bentley of Fairfield Bay and Samantha Thompson (David) of Brinkley.
While we mourn the loss of Michael, we also celebrate his life, cherishing the memories we have of him and the love he shared with us all. He will forever remain in our hearts. Services were held on November 25, 2025,  at the Brinkley Missionary Baptist Church with burial at Johnson Cemetery in Wheatley. Guestbook/obit/www.bobnealandsons.com
