Roy Estes McCauley

February 3, 1955 - October 22, 2019
Roy McCauley, of Clarendon, suddenly and expectedly passed away at his home at the age of 68. Roy was born on in Stuttgart. He was the 8th and last-born child of William and Jeanette McCauley, who were living in the Roe Community at that time. Roy was a 1973 graduate of Clarendon High School.
Roy was as a truck driver, making over the road deliveries for both Coca Cola and Kroger. Years later, due to health challenges, he stepped away from public work. Roy was passionate about fishing and hunting, especially enjoying the early morning trek to call in the mallards. Back on the home front, he enjoyed cooking for family and friends.
He was married to Julie Johnson on December 14, 2001. He was currently an active member of the Clarendon Missionary Baptist Church, where he enjoyed fellowship with the church family. He was also an avid member of the local Lion’s Club. His boisterous spirit and wonderful smile will remain forever in the memory of those who shared his daily walk in life.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and six siblings; Floyd “Sonny” McCauley, Billie Hasty, Betty Rubach, Annette McGrew, Shirley Norris and Bonnie Sue McCauley. Survivors include: wife; Julie McCauley of Clarendon; daughter, Sarah Bull and husband, Patrick, of Stuttgart; grandchild Royce Bull of Stuttgart; sister; Bobbie Jones, of Beebe; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
A memorial service was held on Friday October 25 at Clarendon Missionary Baptist Church.
