Bubba Potts May 16, 1973 - May 8, 2020

Bubba Dean Potts, age 46, passed away Friday at the UAMS Hospital in Little Rock. A longtime resident of Brinkley and familiar figure in the community, Bubba was born in Marianna to the family of Kenneth Potts and Glenda Moffett Potts. As the last-born child in the family, he most assuredly enjoyed growing up with the support of two older siblings. In time the family moved to Brinkley, where he received formal education through Brinkley Elementary and High School.
In earlier years, Bubba worked in the field of construction and later in life, due to serious health challenges, left the arena of public work. He kept very active in various ways and often stated “I will never give up!” And he didn’t. His body endured more than most of us will ever know, yet he continued to smile, laugh, and loved being alive.
He was a current member of the First Baptist Church in Brinkley and enjoyed fellowship with the church family. Other pleasure came in the form of baseball, basketball and hunting. Times spent with family and host of friends were very treasured days to Bubba.
He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Potts. Immediate family survivors include his: mother, Glenda Potts of Brinkley; two sons, Tyler McDaniel and wife, Haley, of Moro and Paris Potts of DeValls Bluff; two daughters, Somer McDaniel and Cypris Gammel, both of Brinkley; two siblings, Kevin Potts and Melissa Brann and husband, Kirk, all of Brinkley; four grandchildren, Levi McDaniel, Beau McDaniel, Brennan Gammel, and Lillian Potts.
Graveside services were held May 11 at the Pleasant Valley Cemetery near Moro by Bob Neal & Sons Funeral Home in Brinkley.
