Peggy Jo (Ward) Pervin December 24, 1938 - May 14, 2020

Peggy Pervin, of Harrisburg, formerly of Wynne, departed this life in the comfort of her home at the age of 81. Born in Wheatley, she was the daughter of Mr. Earl Richard Ward and Mrs. Lucille (Browne) Ward. Peggy was a graduate of Brinkley High School and attended Crowley’s Ridge Technical Institute in Forrest City.
Peggy worked as a bookkeeper for First National Bank of Eastern Arkansas in Forrest City, and was a devoted member of New Prospect Missionary Baptist Church in Colt. She was an avid reader, enjoyed sewing, and loved spending quality time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Aubrey Pervin; her parents, Earl and Lucille Ward; and two brothers, David Earl and Noel Richard Ward. She is survived by three sons, Daryl Lenwood Watlington and partner, Dortha Robinson, of Harrisburg; Russell Earl Watlington and wife, Rayshel, of Harrisburg; and James Alan Watlington of Jacksonville; a brother, Ben Ward of Texas; two sisters, Earlene Davis of Wynne, and Martha Ford of California; four grandchildren, Sheena Rammell, Paige Watlington, Matthew Watlington, and Leah Ann Watlington; three great-grandchildren, Abbey, Preston, and Joshua; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Graveside services were conducted on May 18, 2020, in Posey Cemetery near Wheatley, with Brother Terrell Neeley officiating. Arrangements by Thompson-Wilson Funeral Home of Wynne.
