Connie Lou (Lovell) Taylor April 9, 1936 - May 19, 2020

Connie Taylor, formerly of Clarendon and Searcy, passed away peacefully at the Lakes of Maumelle Nursing and Rehab facility at the age of 84. Connie was born to James and Lena Lovell in Oklahoma on and grew up in the Moro area. Connie was a graduate of Moro High School. Connie had two brothers and three sisters. She is survived by her brother, James Lovell of Clarendon. Connie was a member of the Church of Christ.

Connie was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Taylor of Searcy. Connie was also preceded in death by her sons; Danny Ray Cook, Gary Gene Cook, Stephen Dewayne Cook of Monroe. She is survived by her sons Kenneth Andrew Cook of Hunter, Lynn (Michelle) Cook of Maumelle, and stepsons Mike and David Taylor of Searcy. Connie had seven grandchildren: Keith Cook (Corrie) and Clint Cook (Ashley) of Clarendon, Kara Cook Degunion of Las Vegas, NV and Gary Cook (Macayla) of Hunter, and Andrew, Austin and Aaron Cook of Maumelle. Connie had seven great-grandchildren – Kamryn, Kennedy, Kole, and Kenzie Cook of Monroe, Kendall and Kodi Cook of Roe, and Kimber Degunion of Des Arc.
Connie loved working in the care-giving field as a Social and Activity Director for two nursing homes, working at a hospital in Brinkley, and being a caregiver to elderly patients. She loved camping, reading, watching the St. Louis Cardinals, and quilting. She was known by friends and family as “Me Maw Connie” and was loved by many.

A visitation with the family will be held at Bob Neal and Sons Funeral Home in Clarendon on Saturday, May 23 from 4-6 PM. A celebration of life will be held at the graveside at the White Church Cemetery in the Monroe, AR area on Sunday, May 24 at 1 PM.
