Gregory Alan Sheard November 6, 1956-May 15, 2020

Gregory Alan Sheard of Little Rock, passed away at the age of 63. He was born in Fort Worth, Texas to Glen Benjamin Sheard and Mary Ellen Bretthauer Sheard. Greg was raised in Brinkley, but lived most of his life in Little Rock with his wife of 38 years, Elizabeth Brandon Sheard.
Greg was an Eagle Scout, an arborist, a manager, salesman, and artist. It was while in Fayetteville that Greg met his wife, and the couple married and moved to North Texas, where Greg worked as a crepe myrtle farmer. The family business, Brandon House Furniture, lured the couple back to Arkansas, where Greg managed stores in Hot Springs and Little Rock, and later taking over management of the Brandon Companies’ real estate holdings. Greg’s final career was as a national sales manager for one of the largest bedding manufacturers in the world. A legendary hunter and fisherman, he was all business in the duck blind or on his beloved Buffalo River.
Greg is survived by his father, Glen Sheard, of Carson City, Nevada; mother, Mary Ellen, and brother, Michael, of Eureka Springs; sons, Brandon, of Little Rock, and Ben and wife, Samantha, of Kansas City, MO; and his constant canine companion, Missy.
A memorial of Greg’s life will be scheduled when social distancing restrictions are lifted and a venue large enough to host his many friends is found.
