John Spencer Hall February 10, 1949 - May 30, 2020

John Spencer Hall of Little Rock, formerly of St. Louis, MO, died at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock at the age of 71. “Skip”, as he was affectionately known, was born in Cotton Plant, to Rufus Hall and Emma Charlene Ivey-Hall.
As a child, while growing up in Cotton Plant, John and his family attended Taylor Chapel United Methodist Church. He attended the Cotton Plant Public School System and was a graduate of the Cotton Plant Vocation High School Class of 1967.
After graduating school, John was drafted into the United States Army during the Vietnam Era War. He served in the military for more than 10 years before being honorably discharged. After leaving the military and returning home to Cotton Plant for a short time in the late 1970s, he relocated to St. Louis, MO, where he lived and worked for more than 35 plus years. He was employed with the City of St. Louis Public School System as a janitor for more than 15 plus years. He later went on to work for a private janitorial service for several years before retiring. John returned to Arkansas in August 2016.
His parents; grandparents; a brother, Ronnie Hall; a nephew; and a great-nephew; all preceded him in death. Survivors are four brothers, Claude (Brenda) Hall, of Marianna, Davie (Iola) Hall, of Little Rock, Stephon Hall, of Tulsa, OK, and Timothy Hall, of Houston, TX; a sister, Anita Hall-Mitchell, of Little Rock; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends,
Interment was June 8 at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock by Branscumb Johnson & Gilchrest Funeral Home of Brinkley.
