Folker Gutt, of Clarendon, passed away at the Baptist Health Medical Center – Stuttgart at the age of 82. He was born in Rosenau, Romania to George and Gerda Gutt. Folker was a born again believer in the Lord Jesus Christ. He was baptized in the Evangelical Church, where he grew up in Rosenau, Romania at the age of twelve. For 60 years he was married to the love of his life, Amelia Renneker Gutt. They were blessed with two children, Carol and David.

Folker came to the United States with his family when he was 15 years old. His love for America was abundant and he studied diligently to become a citizen. On December 19, 1960, he achieved citizenship when he was sworn in as an American citizen, just minutes before his first child, Carol was born. Ten years later his son, David was born. His joy knew no end with his two children. He was employed by Baird Manufacturing in Clarendon for 44 years and he always enjoyed his work. Folker enjoyed listening to music, wood-working and sports. He especially enjoyed being with his family and was a much - loved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
He is survived by his wife, Amelia Renneker Gutt; his daughter, Carol (Mike) Sobba; son, David (Allison) Gutt; 5 grandchildren, Marla Richards (Dusty), Kyle Manning (Becca), Darren Dixon (Ashlynn), William Gutt, and Hannah Gutt; and one great-grandson, Ezra Richards; his sister, Elke Miller, of Long Island, New York; his brothers, Bernd Gutt, of Elgin, Illinois, and Gerald Gutt, of Tucson, Arizona.

Graveside service was June 5 at Shady Grove Cemetery in Clarendon by Bob Neal and Sons Funeral Home of Clarendon.
Memorials may be given to the building fund at the First Assembly of God Church, 680 North 2nd Street, Clarendon, Arkansas 72029.
