Diane Larkin- Perry July 14, 1956 – June 23, 2020

Diane Larkin-Perry of Monroe, North Carolina, formerly of Biscoe, died at Atrium Hospice of Union County in Monroe, North Carolina, at the age of 63. Diane was born in Des Arc to Matthew Larkin and Willie Mae Brown-Larkin.
Growing up in Biscoe, Diane and her family attended church at Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church in Biscoe. She attended the Biscoe Public School in Biscoe. After Biscoe and DeValls Bluff Schools consolidated in the early 1970’s, she went on to attend high school in DeValls Bluff. She was a 1974 graduate of DeValls Bluff High School. After high school, Diane moved to Chicago to live with her eldest sister for a few years and worked until returned to Arkansas in the 1980’s.
After returning to Arkansas in the early 1980’s, Diane went to work for Acco Industries in Des Arc, where she worked for several years until the factory closed. In 1993, she and her husband moved their family to Edmond, Oklahoma, where she started working for Wal-Mart. After returning to Arkansas in 1995 and settling in the Clarksville community (1995-2006), she continued working for the Wal-Mart. The family later moved to Monroe, North Carolina in 2006, and she continued working for Wal-Mart until her health begin to fail. Diane was united in holy matrimony to Roy Perry on May 14, 1984. To this union two sons were born.
Her parents; her sisters, Clementine Larkin-Rhoden, Loretta Larkin-Hubbard and Maxine Larkin, all preceded her in death. Survivors are her husband of 36 years, Roy Perry, of Monroe, NC; two sons, Eric (Britney Andrews) Perry, of Gastonia, NC, and Lionel (Sabrina) Perry, of Monroe, NC; eight grandchildren, Jaidyn Lindsey, Elijah Alexander, Briana Alexander, Kynzie Perry and Eric Perry Jr., all of Gastonia, NC, and Demetrick Perry, Audrina Perry and Braxton Perry, all of Monroe, NC; six brothers, Bobby Dean Larkin and Charles (Edith) Larkin, both of DeValls Bluff, Bobby Jean (Earnestine) Larkin, Harold Larkin and Ricky Larkin, all of Biscoe, and Lester Larkin, of Chicago, Ill; three sisters, Mattie Palton, of Hazen, Dorothy (Sonny) Larkin, of Chicago, Ill, and Patricia Larkin, of Biscoe; her lifelong best friend, Christine Geans-Dunlap of Biscoe; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were June 28 at the DeValls Bluff High School auditorium in DeValls Bluff with Reverend Douglas Dodson officiating. Interment took place at Harrison Cemetery in Biscoe by Branscumb Johnson & Gilchrest Funeral Home of Brinkley.
