Wayne Reynolds Gross March 25, 1934 – August 1, 2020

Wayne Reynolds Gross of Jackson passed away at the Monticello House in Jackson at the age of 86. He was born in Biscoe to Perry A. and Viola A. Reynolds Gross. He and Nelda Hodge were married on January 9, 1984, in Cape Girardeau.
Wayne was an honorably discharged veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during the Korean War. He then worked 40 years as an engineer on the Cottonbelt Southern Pacific Railroad, retiring in 1996. He was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Fruitland.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and three siblings. Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Nelda Gross of Jackson; three daughters, Bonnie Sue Davenport, of Jacksonville, Florida, and Debbie Heisserer and Janet Lee Cattron, both of Jackson; a stepson, Randall Miller, of Jackson; and three siblings, Annalee Rigdon, Dorothy Fowler, and Larry Gross, all of Brinkley.
Funeral was August 3 at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson with the Rev. Bill Minor officiating. Interment followed at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Fruitland.
