Rachel Yvonne Taylor March 15, 1981 – July 21, 2020

Rachel Yvonne Taylor of Newport, formerly of Patterson, passed away at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock at the age of 39. She was born in Newport to Martha Taylor and Paul Hardin. Rachel was a lifelong member of Mount Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church in Patterson.

She received her formal education from the McCrory Public School System and was a 1999 graduate of McCrory High School. She worked as a cashier in several local convenience stores and fast-food restaurants over the years. She also worked as a Certified Nurse’s Assistant in local nursing homes.

Her mother; her baby daughter, Rhae Ahana Taylor, all preceded her in death. Survivors are two sons, Latreyvious Taylor, of Augusta, and Jenoa Taylor, of Batesville; a daughter, Kadence Taylor, of Newport; a brother, Jermaine (Heather) Hardin, of Gary, IN; two sisters, Shawna Grady, of Conway, and Paulette Hardin, of Bloomington, IN; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Graveside services were August 1 at New Quiet Cemetery North in Augusta with Apostle Wanda Snyder officiating. Arrangements were by Branscumb Johnson & Gilchrest Funeral Home of Brinkley.
