Ronald Jerome Casey Sr. November 30, 1960 – July 31, 2020

Ronald Jerome Casey Sr. of Jonesboro, formerly of Brinkley, passed away at NEA Baptist Medical Center in Jonesboro at the age of 59. “Ronnie” or “Bud Light” as he was affectionately known, was born in Gary, Indiana to Mack E. Casey Sr. and Mattie Tucker-Casey. He was one of seven children born to this union.
Ronnie received his early education from the Gary, Indiana Public School System. After he and his family relocated to Arkansas in the 1970’s, he went on to attend Brinkley Public Schools and Brinkley High School. He was a member of Greater Hour of Deliverance Church in West Memphis for several years.
Forever a free spirit, Ronald was blessed with the “Gift of Gab” and never met a stranger. He enjoyed talking to people from all walks of life.
His father; and two brothers, Paul F. Casey and Mack E. Casey Jr., all preceded him in death. Survivors are four sons, Ronald J. (Sheneikia) Casey Jr., of Charlotte, NC, Jerome Casey, Charon (Nancy) Casey, and Anton Brown, all of Jonesboro; six daughters, Christina Janelle Jackson, of Atlanta, GA, Rhonda (Jamar) Turner, of Dallas, TX, Iteskia (Cleven) Fiklen, of Michigan City, IN, Cheryl Casey, of Gary, IN, and Brittany (Almus) Brown and Shardae McNeal, both of Jonesboro; twenty-four grandchildren; his longtime companion, Lucille Coleman, of Jonesboro; his mother, Mattie Dixon, of West Memphis; two brothers, Marvin (Gloria) Casey, of West Memphis, and Andrew (Cassandra) Casey, of Wynne; two sisters, Marcia (Bobby Joe) James, of Jonesboro, and Sandra Casey, of Wynne; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
Funeral services were held August 8 at Brown Chapel CME Church in Brinkley with Pastor Marvin Casey officiating. Interment took place at Haven of Rest Cemetery in Brinkley by Branscumb Johnson & Gilchrest Funeral Home of Brinkley.
