Helen Catherine Hale entered peacefully into eternal rest at her home in Des Arc at the age of 84. Helen was born in Hickory Plains to James David and Pauline Rollins. She married Clifford Gaylor Hale in December of 1955. She dedicated her life to raising her three children. She also cared for numerous children in Bossier City, LA, where she was a daycare worker and was best known as "Momma Hale". Helen was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. To know her was to love her and she showed her family the meaning of unconditional love.

She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Jimmy Rollins, John Whitney Rollins, and Gene Rollins; sisters, Shira Jo Stringfellow and Trudy Walters; and infant sisters, Dorthy Dean and Carolyn Sue Rollins. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Clifford Gaylor Hale; three daughters, Kathy and husband, Franky Zator, of Bossier City, LA, Kelly and husband, Gerry Freyermuth, of Brinkley, and Karen and husband, Joey York, of Des Arc; grandchildren, Cody Craig, of Stonewall, LA, Lindsey and husband, Josh Starkey, of Minden, LA, and Ty York and Sadie York, of Des Arc; two sisters, Sally Walker and Judy Petit; along with multiple nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Graveside services were at Lakeside Cemetery in Des Arc August 15 with Bro. Melvin York officiating and eulogy given by Mike Morris. Garth Funeral Home of Des Arc was in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers were Joey York, Ty York, Donald Glenn Fuller, Mike Morris, Steven Green and Jackson Morton. Honorary pallbearers include Ronnie Cunningham and Cody Craig.
