Sherry Britton April 12, 1944 – August 16, 2020

Sherry Anita Reeves Britton of Palestine passed away at the age of 76. She was born in Salem, the second child of Elmer and Ella Reeves. Sherry was privileged to attend Brinkley High School, where she played basketball as a forward on the first string.

When studies came to an end and through the following years, Sherry made her home in Palestine. She was blessed in life to become a homemaker and mother of two sons, Bobby and Lee. Added joys came into her life with the addition of three grandchildren. Sherry was known for her love of fishing, dancing, her laugh and trips to the casino, when time allowed.

Sherry was raised in the Christian faith and knew the importance of a relationship with her Savior Jesus Christ. She began her walk of faith at a young age and over the years has remained a member of Salem Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer Lee Reeves and Ella (French) Reeves; and brother, Marlin Reeves. Sherry is survived by her two sons, Bobby Britton, of West Memphis, Lee Britton, of Palestine; and grandchildren, Blane Britton, Prentice Britton and Lainee Britton.

Graveside services were held at Salem Cemetery in Moro on August 19. Arrangements were by Bob Neal and Sons Brinkley.
