Patricia Capshaw March 15, 1950 – September 12, 2020

Patricia AnnaLee Capshaw passed away at her home near Brinkley at the age of 70. A daughter of Raymond and Bessie (Crumley) Pruitt, she was born in Searcy. “Trish”, as she was known by family, received formal education through Augusta Elementary and McCrory High School.
She and Victor Capshaw were married August 26, 1968 in Brewton, Alabama. After completing military duty in Milton, Florida, they returned to McCrory and eventually settled in Brinkley. In 1975, Pat joined the Brinkley Missionary Baptist Church and remained a member throughout life.
In prior years, Pat operated an in-home day care and when her youngest son entered school, she stepped away from that occupation. She was an excellent homemaker and caring for her home was of utmost importance. From time to time she offered the same exceptional care to businesses and others in the community.
She enjoyed fishing, working in her flower garden and refinishing furniture. The children are blessed to have a cherished piece Mom used skillful hands and many hours to refinish. Through the years Pat enjoyed activities with family and friends including many weekend fish fry suppers.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and four siblings, Herbert Pruitt, James (Dicky) Pruitt, Shirley Lewis and Mary DeWitt.
Survivors include: three children and their spouses, Ray and Lisa Capshaw, James and Chelsea Capshaw, Kelly and Joel Smith, all of Brinkley; sisters, Barbara and W.H. Engle of Carlisle and Betty Snow of Des Arc; grandchildren, Ashleigh and Jobie Smith, Kimber and Royce Capshaw, Hannah, Ethan and Joey Ensminger.
Services were September 15th at the Brinkley First Baptist Church with interment in Woodman Cemetery in McCrory by Bob Neal & Sons Funeral Home in Brinkley.
