Nola Mae Staggs March 1, 1928 – September 17, 2020

Nola Mae (Bulla) Staggs, resident of Wynne, departed this life at CrossRidge Community Hospital in Wynne at the age of 92. She was born in Poplar Bluff, Missouri to Ed Bulla and Josie (Wilson) Bulla.

Nola worked as a teacher’s aide at Brinkley Elementary School, and in later years as a clerk at Heritage Inn in Brinkley. She was a member of the Wynne Church of Christ. She frequented senior citizen’s dances, and was tremendously proud of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and eight siblings. She is survived by a son, Leonard Bret Staggs and wife, Sandy, of Grady; three daughters, Julie Peacock of Wynne, Pam Wolfe and husband, Charles, of Jonesboro, and Nanette Strickland, of Brinkley; seven grandchildren, Rhonda Bramell (Lee), Valerie Warner (Gary), Tracy Hardy (Jonathan), Adam Wolfe (Heather), Eric Strickland (Sarah), Ami Sims, and Blake Borecky; eight great-grandchildren; another great-grandchild due in December; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Graveside services were in Crosslawn Cemetery with Tim Davis officiating. Thompson-Wilson Funeral Home of Wynne had charge of arrangements. Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Blake Borecky, Jonathan Hardy, Dale Miley, Roger Phillips, Eric Strickland, and Adam Wolfe. Honorary pallbearers are Lee Bramell and Charles Wolfe.
