Osie Lee Driver of Little Rock, formerly of Memphis, Tenn. passed away at Parkway Village Retirement in Little Rock at the age of 83. Osie was born in Forrest City to Elie Driver and Rosetta Doby-Driver. He was the widower of Rene Anderson-Driver.

He attended school at the Zent Public School in the Zent/Fargo Community. While growing up in the Fargo community, Osie attended Union Baptist Church with his family. After moving to Memphis, he joined the New Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Walls, MS, where he was a faithful member for more than 20 years, and served as a member of the Deacon board. He was a resident of Memphis for more than 50 years.

Osie was employed with the Central Illinois Railroad, based out of Memphis, for more than 32 years, before retiring in 2004. Over his years of working with the company, he worked out of Memphis and Richmond, Virginia.

His parents; his wife; five sisters, Eva Driver-Lewis, Rosie Lee Driver-Watson, Roberta Driver-Huston and Atlean Driver-Jones, all preceded him in death. Survivors are his son, Theodis Driver, of Memphis, TN; four daughters, Rumel Driver and Charlotte Montgomery, both of Little Rock, Terry Arlene Driver, of Palmdale, CA, and Ocie Ann Driver, of North Little Rock; twelve grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; three brothers, Jessie (Gail) Leniear and Robert (Eva) Leniear, both of Detroit, MI, and Willie (Leslie) Leniear, of Little Rock; five sisters, Pearlean (Sylvester) Jennings, Lora Leniear and Mary Leniear-Bates, all of Detroit, MI, and Jearlean Driver and Essie (Chelc) Hardin, both of Little Rock; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held October 4 at the Brinkley Convention Center in Brinkley with Pastor Timothy Robinson officiating. Interment took place at Macedonia Cemetery in Fargo by Branscumb Johnson & Gilchrest Funeral Home of Brinkley.
