Dorothy Severe July 14, 1927 – October 10, 2020

Dorothy Imogene Severe passed away at her home in Brinkley at the age of 93. She was born near Hagler to the late Clarence E. and Bessie (Bagwell) Hildebrand. She was united in marriage to Wayne E. Severe on September 19, 1944 in Clarendon.

She was a housewife and bookkeeper for their family business Brinkley Electrical Service. She enjoyed sewing, fishing, camping, gardening, and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a long-time member of The American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and was a member of Park Avenue Missionary Baptist Church in Stuttgart.

She is survived by one son, Don Severe of Brinkley; two daughters, Romana Hoover, of Memphis, and Chantay Tefteller, of Brinkley; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Graveside service were at the Lone Tree Cemetery Pavilion in Stuttgart on Wednesday, October 14. Services were entrusted to Fowler Funeral Home of Brinkley.
