F.C. McClellan May 24, 1943 – October 7, 2020
F.C. McClellan of Brinkley passed away at the age of 77. He was born in Jacksonville, to F.C. and Bessie (Shumard) McClellan Sr. The family moved to Brinkley, where F.C. received education through the public schools. He made the choice to remain, making Brinkley his home and attended times of worship at Broadmoor Baptist Church.
F.C. worked in farming as well as rental property maintenance and management. For the last 10 years of his career, he worked as a truck driver for Tri County Farmers, before stepping back from the working world.
He always enjoyed the daily camaraderie with friends and patrons of a local business, LuJohns Restaurant. There he met Ruby Shannon, who worked as a waitress. On July 5, 1980, F.C. and Ruby were married and the McClellan home was blessed to share in the memories made over the next 40 years.
Known as a jack of all trades, F.C. enjoyed tinkering on a little bit of everything. He was a family man that loved to spend time and ruff house with his grandchildren. Family will surely share in the memories of him, with each classic western they watch or reciting his favorite saying, “If bailing wire couldn’t hold it, he didn’t need it”.
F.C. was preceded in death by his parents, F.C. and Bessie McClellan Sr.; son, Ronald Gregory McClellan; brother, Ronnie McClellan; and granddaughter, Tara Reynolds. He is survived by wife, Ruby McClellan, of Brinkley; son, Cameron Reynolds, of Montana; daughters, Lisa Boyd (Ronnie), of Brinkley, Angie Foree (Steve), of Cordova, TN., and Rhonda Reynolds (Tim), of Searcy; grandchildren, Logan Jackson (Alyssa), Kylie Boyd, Holliann Belton, Loren Belton, Cody Foree, Kaitlyn Mason, Rachel Davidon (Tye), Matthew Reynolds, Corey Reynolds, and Emily Reynolds; and 7 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were October 12, at Johnston Cemetery in Wheatley by Bob Neal and Sons Funeral Home of Brinkley.
