Keith Bennett passed away at his home near Brinkley at the age of 75. A son of Thomas and Virginia Bennett, he was born in Holly Grove. He became a 1963 graduate of Brinkley High School, where he served as F.F.A. president and enjoyed being part of the Tiger football team.

On June 13, 1965, Keith married Shirley Ann Geisler at Our Saviour Lutheran Church in Rich, where they are members. They remained residents of Monroe County and were blessed with raising three children and in time received the joy and laughter of many grandchildren.

As a young man, Keith began working with farm families in the area and later received opportunity to farm on his own. When that came to a close, he became co-owner of B&G Trucking, driving both local and long haul.

Keith never met a stranger and was humorous in his joking manner. He seemed to always have a story to tell, which brought joy to those around him. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, especially with the guys at Po Boys Deer Camp in Holly Grove.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Bruce Bennett and Virginia Parmer Boyle Bennett. Survivors are his wife, Shirley Bennett, of Brinkley; three children,

Brian Bennett (Tammy) and Kim Bennett (Billy Don Reynolds), all of Brinkley, and

Angie Cary (Lynn), of Hunter; brother, Thomas Bennett (Linda), of Huntsville, Alabama; five grandchildren, Kara Flagg, Cody Bennett, Katie Cary, Heather Strayhorn, and Stephanie Bennett; and four great-grandchildren.

Services were October 20 at Bob Neal & Sons Funeral Home in Brinkley, with a private burial at a later date.
