Pearlie Mae Wooten of Brinkley passed away at the Springhill Baptist Medical Center in North Little Rock at the age of 83. One of 14 children in the family of Lonnie and Ola Hendrix Parson, she was born in Moro and in time became a 1955 graduate of Moro High School.

Pearlie Mae and Jessie Wooten were married February 3, 1960 in Marianna. They were blessed with three children and celebrated 53 years of marriage before his death on April 14, 2013. Not having worked outside the home, she was a true homemaker in the love and care for her home and family. She enjoyed cooking, yard work and watching the Arkansas Razorbacks.

As with most grandmothers, Pearlie Mae enjoyed being with her little ones and watching them grow up, sharing the ups and downs in life and begin families of their own. She was a member of the Full Gospel Church of God in Moro and enjoyed many years of fellowship with the church family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one grandchild, Kelly Turner; and eleven siblings, Floyd Parson, Glen Parson, Bill Parson, Tillman Walker, Leonard Walker, Juanita Parson, Ruby Hendrix, Jewel Hendrix, Haulene Gray, Estelle Lilly, and Jewel Bowman. Survivors are three children, David Wooten and Elvis Wooten (Amanda), both of Brinkley, and Debbie Norwood, of Wheatley; seven grandchildren, Eric Wooten, Hunter Wooten, Paisley Wooten, Brooke Wooten, Matthew Norwood, Michael Norwood and Amber Morgan; five great-grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, October 23 at the Full Gospel Church of God with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery also in Moro. Arrangements are by Bob Neal and Sons Funeral Home of Brinkley.
