Milton Jackson of Brinkley passed away at his home at the age of 91. A son of Robert and Ruby (Miller) Jackson, he was born in Brinkley and lived his entire lifetime within a mile radius of the home place. He was a 1947 graduate of Brinkley High School and received certification in mechanics from a school in Russellville.
He married Virginia Martin on Oct 11, 1955 and they were privileged to share 60 years of marriage before her death on December 20, 2015. They raised three children and enjoyed the love of many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

His working career included Fred Simmons Gas Station, Nehi Bottling Co. (2 yrs), AP&L (5 yrs) Brinkley High School (5 yrs), Wagner Electric (10 yrs), Jackson Service Station (6 yrs), and many years as maintenance superintendent for the Brinkley Country Club. He was currently working with his sons and grandson at G-R Farms and N & D Farms.

Milton was an integral part of the Brinkley Missionary Baptist Church beginning with membership in 1956. Positions held included deacon, trustee, Sunday School superintendent, teacher, and music director for over 40 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; sister, Geraldine “Jerri” Branum; and great-granddaughter, Anna Claire Jackson. Survivors include children, Gerald Jackson (Rhonda), of Moro, Douglas Jackson (Holly), of Hunter, and Laurie Henard (Ricky), of Brinkley; six grandchildren, Jessica Benefield, Lauren Garner, Dustin Jackson, Heather Douglas, Nicklas Jackson and Lukas Young; eleven great-grandchildren, Bailee Jackson, Addison Jackson, Connor Carruth, Gracie Willingham, Jackson Benefield, Katherine Garner, Andrew Garner, Aubreigh Douglas, Harper Douglas, Pierce Jackson, and Brennen Jackson; and nephew, Bobby Trice.

Graveside services were October 17 at Oaklawn Cemetery in Brinkley by Bob Neal & Sons Funeral Home.
