John T. Stowe August 27, 1927 – November 4, 2020

John T. Stowe passed away surrounded by family at his home in Holly Grove at the age of 93. John was born in Thorton to the late Hall and Ethel Pate Stowe. He joined the military towards the end of World War II and was honorably discharged in 1946. Seven years later, John married the love of his life, Rosie Mae Barrett, on July 21, 1953. They remained married until her death in 1999.
John enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing for his favorite, catfish. When he wasn't fishing, he would be seen with a big smile mowing his yard on his John Deere.

Survivors are his sons, James A. Stowe, and Johnny Stowe; daughter, Ethel Stowe; grandchildren, James T. Stowe, Allison Nash, Tommy Lee Stowe, Ashley Richardson, Anthony Fergason, Dawson Worley, and Cynthia Vance; his great-grandchildren, Falicity Stowe, Dallas Hicks, Elijah Leisure, Dillinger Nash, Cassiale Nash, Kayona Stowe, Lance Stowe, Winter Stowe, Jazmine Sawyer, Colin Sawyer, and Matthew Nash; great-great-grandchildren, Bentley, Blakley, and Everleigh.
Funeral services were held at Fowler Funeral Home on November 7. Burial followed at Oaklawn Cemetery in Brinkley.
